What is Nighthawk?
Nighthawk is planned to be a free program that sniffs through your running processes (and possibly your Windows Services, depending on the final design), looking for potential malware that could be running and killing it on contact.
What license will Nighthawk be released under?
Nighthawk Beta will be released under the terms of the Berkerley Software Distribution (BSD) License; which basically means that nobody is liable if the software somehow harms your computer or hurts your self-esteem. :-) It also means that the source code will be posted here for download.
When will Nighthawk Beta be released?
We don't know yet. Our software programmer is currently in college, but he *might* find time to release the Beta sometime during Christmas break or next summer.
What computer platforms will Nighthawk be available for?
We currently plan to release Nighthawk Beta for the Microsoft™ Windows® Vista, 7, and PocketPC® 2003 operating systems. Depending on upon popular demand, future releases may be available for Apple® Mac OS X™ and the upcoming Ubuntu 10.
